inagural business workshop

The East Wicklow Business Network (EWBN) has held its inaugural workshop at the Greystones Golf Club with over 35 attendees and a sold-out crowd. The workshop was designed to bring together local business owners and entrepreneurs to network, collaborate, and learn from industry experts. The attendees had the opportunity to listen to an insightful presentation, participate in interactive sessions, and engage in meaningful conversations with their peers.

EWBN committee member, Feargal McKenna, said, "We are thrilled with the response to our inaugural workshop. It’s a great testament to the need for this kind of networking in our business community. We believe that by bringing together like-minded individuals, we can help businesses grow, create new opportunities, and drive economic growth in the Wicklow region."

“After a successful year of bringing together a network of local business leaders through a series of inspirational and educational talks, the East Wicklow Business Network is moving into the next phase of its own growth as it helps local business owners scale their business in 2023. The digital marketing workshop, facilitated by local business Revolt, is a classic example of how the business community in east Wicklow can support each other to develop their business and benefit from the talent on our own doorstep”.

The keynote speaker, Robbie Godsil, a digital marketing business consultant who founded Revolt, delivered an inspiring and thought-provoking presentation on the seven steps to double revenue in 12 months and the importance of incorporating digital marketing into the core business.

The EWBN plans to host more workshops and events throughout the year to bring together business owners and entrepreneurs in the area. The next event, scheduled for March, is an open networking event to existing and prospective network members, it will showcase the plans for the business network over the next 12 months and announce some additional membership benefits.

Previously, during its business breakfast series, the EWBN has hosted a fundraising talk by Louise Fleming of Wicklow Local Enterprise Office, entrepreneur Sean Gallagher the former Dragons Den judge and runner up for the Irish presidency, and a budget special with Noel Geraty. The network also hold social evenings for the members and their partners at Greystones Sailing Club and more recently, The Whale Theatre.
